Are you accepting new clients?
Yes! I have day, evening, and Saturday appointments available.
How long are sessions?
Sessions are generally 50 minutes long. However, I do provide extended sessions when more time is needed.
How often do we meet?
I meet with new clients at least once weekly for the first several weeks so that we can get to know each other and establish some goals for counseling. Once we have a foundation set for our work together, we can adjust the frequency of our sessions as needed.
What payment options are there?
I accept cash and checks. My fee is $95 for a 50 minute session.
Do you take insurance?
I do not directly bill insurance for my services. If you have an HMO you can only see a provider in their network and I am not "in network" with any insurance providers.
Most PPO Insurance plans, however, will provide members at least partial reimbursement for therapy with an out-of-network provider. If your insurance will reimburse you, I can give you a receipt (superbill) for the sessions you have paid for and you can submit it to your insurance company. Please call your insurance company to verify the specifics of your coverage.
Can I bring my baby to my appointment?
You are welcome to bring your baby to your appointment. Once your child is moving around, you might find it easier to leave your child with someone during your session. I find moms that bring mobile babies to therapy tend to spend more time monitoring the child than focused on the issues they need to discuss. That being said, it is your decision. Older children who are verbal and may understand what is being discussed should not come with you to therapy.
